The success of our team members is no less paramount. We’re dedicated to ensuring that every Wilson employee experiences truly satisfying professional development while feeling inspired to bring their authentic selves to work.

Wilson Language Training is growing and is looking to hire a Site Reliability Engineer.

The Site Reliability Engineer will work on one of our most critical, high-traffic systems. You’ll be responsible for its reliability, security, and performance day-to-day, with a real voice in how its architecture evolves over time. Our cloud footprint spans both AWS and Azure, and you’ll work across both as our environments evolve. You’ll also be joining an experienced, collaborative team that values knowledge-sharing and supports one another through incidents and day-to-day work alike. If you’re looking for meaningful, high-impact work on a strong team, this is the role for you.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Keep one of our most critical, high-traffic systems reliable, secure, and performant, and help shape how its architecture evolves over time
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure-as-code and automation (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK, or ARM/Bicep) that keeps our cloud environments reproducible and safe to change
  • Drive incident response and root-cause analysis for your systems, and turn what you learn into fewer repeat incidents
  • Manage monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery for your systems, including regular DR testing
  • Design for scale and cost: capacity planning, performance tuning, and high availability for high-traffic workloads
  • Work across both AWS and Azure alongside our cloud engineering team, applying consistent reliability practices across our environments
  • Build security into everything you do, from CI/CD and code scanning to incident response
  • Mentor teammates, document what you build, and take part in on-call rotation for your systems
  • Understand and display WLT's values
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK, or ARM/Bicep)
  • Comfort with modern CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps) and monitoring/alerting tooling (Datadog, PagerDuty, or similar)
  • Solid scripting or coding ability (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
  • Some exposure to cloud migration or re-platforming projects
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud networking (VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, peering)
  • Container orchestration experience (Kubernetes or similar)
  • Security tooling experience (Snyk, OWASP, SonarQube, or similar)
  • A calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting complex systems under pressure
